HOW TO JOIN
Joining is easy – just follow these steps

All Shed members must hold current “Working with Vulnerable People” accreditation as a volunteer.

Nominate Devonfield, 133 Middle Road, Devonport 7310 as organisation where you are volunteering.

Nominate 0491 138 820 as phone number.

Computer application for this can be made by Googling “Working with Vulnerable People”, completing the on-line application and paying the fee (2019 - $18.96), either at Service Tasmania or on line and go to Service Tasmania for photo for card.

When application is approved, bring receipt to the Shed and fill out membership application.

When card is received in mail bring it to Shed for photocopying.

If coming to the Shed for the first time, report to the Devonfield reception area to have them page us to show you where to go.
Yearly membership fee is $50, with the cost of the Working with Vulnerable People deducted from the first year’s subscription.
This fee covers access to the Shed facilities and equipment, provides PPE hi-viz vests, air flow masks and safety glasses if required. Hi-viz vests and eye protection must be worn before entering the building as it is an industrial area.
To ensure a safe working environment, all new members must undergo a safety induction and machine operation test. SAFETY IN THE SHED IS PARAMOUNT AND ANY MEMBER NOT COMPLYING WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY.
All members contribute $2 per attendance to the Shed social fund to cover cost of morning teas, a monthly BBQ and subsidised bus trips.
